Are there any reviews on Saladmaster? I had a demo in my home but I just don't think the price makes it any better than other lower priced cookware. They gave the baking soda test on their product and that of 2 other types of cookware and, of course, the taste was much better but I question the test. If you boil water in your average pot and drink it and then drink tap water there is no difference in taste. What's up with that? Help! I have only 1 more day to decide on this expensive set. Thanks
Who are you - J. Meisner, do you do testing or just blog about this cookware?
Sorry for the late response, but they should be throwing in extra stuff ontop of the essentials package to give you a better deal.
There are other companies that have similar, if not exactly the same cookware, just not removable handles. Saladmaster and one other company have the 7-layer 316 titanium stainless steel (I heard Salad master switched back to 5-ply steel to handle the new induction stoves but I haven't confirmed this) which is a premium whereas a couple of others have the 304 titanium stainless steel which is has no difference on strength, taste etc. Both companies are almost equal in price. The 316 is used in marine applications because it is the most saline resistant. The companies with the 7-layer/ply metal and 304 steel have a different kind of steam valve. Instead of rattling it whistles. But the price is almost half of Saladmaster. Saladmaster is a great brand as far as what I have read but it depends on your budget.
