I sell The May & Co. Scandinavian Memory Foam Mattresses. My advice if considering these sets is DON'T buy them. They come with 15 and 20 year warranties that the company has no intention whatsoever of honoring. A customer of mine bought one with a 20 year warranty and after having it 6 MONTHS it began to deteriorate. When they filed a claim they were told that the mattress was "unsanitary" and was considered a bio-hazard so they were unable to honor the warranty. Any microscopic speck of urine, sweat, blood, tears or any other bodily secretions will void the warranty. Essentially, one night of sleep on the mattress will void the warranty. OSHA invented the issue of the bio-hazard to protect the safety of the company's workers. Well what about the sales people that encourage a customer to lie on and test out the bed before buying? Apparently we are endangering the health and safety of every person walking in the door, not to mention the number of times we, personally, touch these mattresses. Why is that acceptable?
I was unaware of this in all my years of selling these and have no intention of ever selling one again. I will also tell every person interested that the company has a wonderful warranty AS LONG AS YOU DON'T ACTUALLY SLEEP ON THE BED.
I have also since learned that this is a ploy with nearly every mattress company to avoid honoring warranties. I strongly suggest doing an enormous amount of research before buying and quiz your salesperson about warranties, though it really won't matter in the long run. Chances are nearly 100% that if you ever end up having any kind of claim, you are screwed.
Mary, that is because all those accounts above are not real people look into them research them, and see how many posts they have made. You won't be shocked anymore to learn the truth.
