Peter,

My rear engine rider mower and backpack blower are particularly loud.  Although I have Bilsom Leightning L3 Earmuffs with NRR 30, I am looking for something even more effective.  Can you help me find or identify hearing protection that is more effective?

We have been using the standard ear muffs for our testing. I have tried the Deere sound cancellation hearing protection and did find a reduction in perceived noise levels when wearing them. The sound experts that we work with indicate that the standard muffs are adequate. In the past I have used both foam insert plugs along with the muffs when working around jet engines. Sorry that I can not be of more help with this.
